Produk asam urat teroksidasi yang cenderung merusak sel pulau pankreas sehingga menimbulkan diabetes. Dapat diperoleh dari mukus usus pada diare dan telah dipakai dalam eksperimen gizi dan sebagai agen antineoplastik.
